Amidst all these cases, India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal are visiting America. Jaishankar will meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday (September 22). This meeting is considered important to improve the relationship between the two countries.

Actually, after the tariff increased, the trade deal between India and the US was also stuck, but now the path of talks between the two countries has opened. The team of America’s Business Representative Office came to India on 16 September. During this time there was talk on many important issues. Now S. Jaishankar and Piyush Goyal will try to solve the tariff by talking with America. Along with the tariff, the trade deal will also be included in the agenda. H-1b Visa can also be a big issue.

Third meeting between Jaishankar and Rubio

Foreign Minister Jaishankar and Marco Rubio met on 1 July this year. At the same time, there was a meeting in January too. Now there will be a third meeting between the two. This meeting of both can improve relations between India and America. On the other end Piyush Goyal will meet America’s Trade Representative (USTR) in New York with Jemison Greer.

Trump’s tariff affected the trade of both countries affected

The US first imposed 25 percent tariff on India, but then 25 percent penalty tariff was imposed. Trump has a problem due to India buying oil from Russia. He also mentioned this several times, but increasing the tariff has also affected America. The two countries were trading in several sectors, including Textiles and Garments, James and Jewelery, Leather Goods and Chemicals.
