Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Naveen on Sunday (January 25, 2026) praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath amid the Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda controversy. After being elected BJP President, Nitin Naveen visited Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh for the first time. During this, he said that I congratulate Yogi ji for the way work is being done in the development of UP.
He said that every Sanatani of India is proud of the way Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji is enhancing the cultural heritage from Varanasi, Ayodhya to Mathura. He said, ‘Yogi ji, you not only strengthened the roots of cultural heritage and nationalism, but also took the story of development forward in Uttar Pradesh.’
Expressway is discussed in UP today: Nitin Nabin
BJP National President Nitin Nabin said that today expressways are discussed in Uttar Pradesh, be it Yamuna Expressway, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Delhi-Meerut Expressway or many other expressways. This shows that on the track of development, Uttar Pradesh is now not only one of the best states of India, but the roads seen in many other countries of the world are now similar in UP too.
Nitin Nabin and CM Yogi worshiped in Banke Bihari temple
BJP President Nitin Nabin reached Brajbhoomi for the first time after assuming office. During this, he first visited the Banke Bihari temple in Mathura along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and prayed for the welfare of the people. Both the leaders lit lamps and offered flowers in front of Banke Bihari and offered prayers amidst chanting of Vedic mantras with full rituals. After this, Nitin Nabin along with Yogi Adityanath participated in spiritual and political programs organized in Mathura.
BJP President’s visit to UP amid Shankaracharya controversy

It is alleged that the youth creating ruckus outside the camp raised slogans of I love Bulldozer Baba. After this, there was a scuffle between the servants of Avimukteshwaranand and the people who entered forcibly.
