Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special arrangements for the people reaching the capital to witness and participate in the grand ceremony on the occasion of Republic Day on 26 January 2026.
In this, on Monday, January 26, Delhi Metro will start services on all its lines much earlier than usual, so that the passengers arriving on the duty route can get easy and convenient facilities and they can participate in the program within the time limit. By implementing this facility, people coming from Delhi and outside can get safe and comfortable travel.
Metro services will start from 3 am
Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), while talking to ABP Live, informed that metro services will be started from 3:00 am on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day 2026. This arrangement has been made especially keeping in mind those passengers who want to attend events taking place on the duty route and surrounding areas in the early hours.
Dayal said that keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, metro trains will be operated at an interval of 15 minutes on all lines till 6:00 am. After this, metro services will continue to run as per their regular schedule throughout the day, so that everyday commuters do not face any kind of problem.
Parking facility will be available at all stations
Delhi Metro has requested passengers to plan their journey in advance on Republic Day and make the most of the early metro services. This will help in avoiding crowds and reaching the destination on time.
On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, parking facilities will be fully available at all the stations of Delhi Metro network so that the passengers coming from far away in the morning do not have to face any kind of problem. At the same time, passengers coming by private vehicle will also get additional convenience in using the metro and they will be able to easily reach the venue without any problem.
