In a conversation with Vicky Lalwani, Anil said, ‘I went to his house. He was recovering. He used to open his eyes and also move his hands. He was recovering. Doctors said that Dharam ji is a very strong man. The doctors had ensured that Dharam ji would recover. Even in the hospital it seemed that he would recover. But age has shown its signs and you cannot fight beyond that. Everyone was hoping that Dharam ji would recover and we were planning to celebrate his birthday on 8th December. Let us tell you that Dharmendra was about to turn 90 on December 8.

Let us tell you that Anil and Dharmendra have worked together. Anil Sharma and Dharmendra worked together for the first time in the film Hukumat in 1987. Anil had directed the film. After this he worked in Ailaan-e-Jung, Farishte, Apne and Tehelka.
Anil and Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol have also done many films together. Sunny Deol has done films like Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, The Hero: Love Story of Spy, Singh Saheb The Great and Gadar 2. In 2004 he also worked with Bobby Deol. Sunny Deol’s Gadar and Gadar 2 had earned record breaks at the box office.
He had worked in Bobby’s film Ab Tumhare Hawale Natan Saathiyon.
