Chasing Delhi’s target of 204 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore won by scoring 204 runs for four wickets in 19.4 overs with a 165-run partnership for the second wicket between captain Smriti Mandhana (87 runs, 41 balls, 12 fours, three sixes) and Georgia (79 runs, 54 balls, 14 fours).

Earlier, Delhi Capitals scored 203 runs for four wickets with the innings of captain Jemimah Rodrigues (57), Laura Wolvaert (44), opener Lizelle Lee (37) and opener Chinelle Henry (35 not out).

“It was about taking the match as deep as possible,” Georgia said after the match. It was a good wicket to bat on and we had excellent finishers in our team, so if we could have batted for as long as possible, we could have finished it off well.

“Full credit goes to the girls,” he said. What a wonderful season it has been.” Georgia said that she is feeling very good after contributing to the finals.

She said, “To play like this in the final, it felt like I was not able to hit the ball out of the square for most of the season, so to come and perform in the final is definitely very special.”
