The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a list of a total of 18 holidays this month for all banks—including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and others. This also includes weekly holidays of second Saturday, fourth Saturday and all Sundays. Banks are generally open on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month unless declared a public or regional holiday.

Bank holidays may vary from state to state, depending on regional and local customs, so it is best for any user to check the approved schedule or list of holidays from their local bank branch so that they can be prepared in case of an emergency or a long holiday period.
