In a statement issued on Sunday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that, in the festive season, arrange for additional flights on major routes to prevent an increase in airline air fares. At the same time, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that it is the responsibility of DGCA to keep an eye on air fare on festivals and keep an eye on fare.

Discussion with airline company

DGCA described the conversation with airlines as positive. According to DGCA, airline companies have promised additional flights. So that the festivals in festivals will be reduced. Indigo has decided to additional 730 flights in 42 sectors as DGCA, around 486 flights in Air India and Air India Express20 sectors and about 546 flights in Spicejet 38 sectors. Due to which passengers will not need to buy expensive tickets in the festive season and they will be able to travel on normal rent.

DGCA will do strict monitoring

The journey is the highest in India between October to December. Due to which many routes are very busy and the fares also increase. However, DGCA is going to be strict monitoring this year on air fare and airline flights, so that people can get easily and cheap tickets. Aviation Analytics firm Cirium said that the Indian airlines plan to make a weekly 22,945 domestic flight in October, which is said to be 2.1 percent less than last year.

Why air tickets are expensive in festive season

As soon as the festive season comes in India, people plan to go to their home and family. Deepawali is celebrated with great pomp all over the country. After this, Chhath festival comes. In such a situation, the demand for air ticket travel increases. There is a tremendous jump in ticket prices due to high demand and limited air flights. Due to which passengers have to pay more money. However, this year, these steps taken by the government are expected to make air tickets cheap.
