A strange and heartbreaking incident in Sangareddy district of Telangana forever erased the sparkle of a young life. Here Manisha, a 25-year-old married woman who was extremely afraid of ants, ended her life. The step she took, leaving her husband and innocent daughter behind, devastated the entire family. The incident took place at Sarva Homes in Aminpur municipal area of Telangana state, where Manisha lived with her husband Srikanth and daughter Anvi.
Manisha was struggling with a psychological condition called myrmecophobia.
Manisha had a serious psychological illness called Myrmecophobia, in which a person has an unbearable fear of ants. It was not just a normal fear, but a disease that had made his life hell. The family got him treated for this psychological problem and took the help of counselling, but such a deep shadow of fear had fallen on him that it seemed impossible to get him out of it.
When the wife did not open the door of the room, the husband broke it with the help of neighbours.
When her husband Shrikant returned from work on Tuesday evening (Tuesday 4, 2025), the silence in the house worried her. The bedroom door was locked from inside. When no response was received even after calling and knocking the door, the door was broken with the help of neighbors and Manisha was found hanging from the fan. Manisha’s husband was shocked to see the scene inside the room.
Telangana Police found Manisha’s suicide note
Telangana Police found a suicide note of Manisha in the room, which was narrating the story of her pain. Addressing her husband, she wrote, ‘Sir… I’m sorry, I can’t live with these ants.’ Mother’s last message to her daughter Anvi was – ‘Take care of your daughter Anvi.’ Manisha’s suicide note has left the entire family devastated. At present the police is busy investigating the matter.
