A unique wedding in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh has become a topic of discussion these days. Where a girl has married Kanha with full rituals. This unique marriage was solemnized with full Hindu customs. Like a normal wedding, all the rituals including Kanyadaan, Phere and special ceremonies were performed.
This case is of Byor Kasimabad village of Islamnagar police station area, where 28 year old Pinky Sharma married the idol of Lord Shri Krishna. Pinky’s brother-in-law’s family came as wedding guests and the entire village played the role of wedding guests. The family completed all the wedding rituals, Pinky also took seven rounds carrying the idol of Lord Krishna in her lap.
Marriage solemnized as per Hindu customs
Pinky is a post graduate and a devotee of Shri Krishna since childhood. Initially, when the daughter talked about marrying Kanha, the mother objected but later she also agreed for the daughter’s happiness. This unique marriage is discussed in the entire area. The villagers have started calling Pinky Meera.
Pinky Sharma’s marriage took place on Saturday 6th December. The idol of Shri Krishna was decorated like a groom. When the wedding procession reached Pinky Sharma’s house, puja was done at the door. The idol of Lord Krishna was decorated like a groom. Taking the idol of Shri Krishna in her lap, Pinky climbed the stage and garlanded her. During this, the artists from Vrindavan danced.
The ring was found in the prasad of Banke Bihar temple.
Pinky’s father Suresh Chandra Sharma said that she is his youngest child and has been religious since childhood. She often went to Vrindavan with her family and after a few months she started insisting on going again. Gradually, she started considering Kanha as her everything in her mind.
The father told that about four months ago, Pinky had such an experience in the Banke Bihari temple, which changed her life. While taking the prasad, a ring of pure gold also came in her lap. Pinky considered it as a blessing from Kanha and decided on the same day that she would marry only Kanha and not any human being.
The entire village attended Pinky’s wedding ceremony. The wedding procession came, the feast was held and all the rituals were performed. Pinky’s cousin brother-in-law Indresh Kumar played the role of groom on behalf of Kanha. It was Kanha who showed this path and now he will take charge of life. Pinky’s parents have also expressed happiness over this marriage.
