Police in Faridabad, Haryana are searching for a youth accused of shooting at a 17-year-old girl in broad daylight. Police gave this information on Tuesday. A youth fired at a girl in Shyam Colony on Monday and fled on a motorcycle. The girl suffered injuries on her shoulder and stomach.
In the CCTV camera footage, the young man is seen waiting for the girl in a street and shooting her from close range. According to the police, one bullet hit the girl’s shoulder, while the other passed through her stomach.
A spokesperson of Faridabad Police said that the attacker is allegedly known to the girl and four teams have been formed to search for him. The victim, identified as Kanishka, is stable and is being treated at a hospital.

The officer said that Kanishka was returning from the library with a friend when she was attacked. The gun used in the crime was recovered from the spot.
When did Faridabad Police come to know about the incident?
Police spokesperson said, preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused knows the victim. The girl has recognized the accused, who studied in the same coaching center where she studied. We have registered an FIR. Police and crime branch are searching for the accused.

His statement has been recorded and FIR has been registered. She was returning home from the library when she was shot. This incident involves a boy whom she knows.
