In the 54th Kendriya Vidyalaya National Sports Meet 2024-25, Delhi’s team has become the champion in the girl child category of lawn tennis. The competition was organized from 16-20 September at RK Khanna International Stadium in Delhi. Delhi’s team led by Ila Pandey became the champion, while Gurgaon’s team was runner -up.
The players of Delhi played from the beginning to the end like the champion players, this is why the team won the trophy. Kaushambi’s daughter Ila Pandey was the captain of Delhi, she received the trophy for her team. In the final match of the singles competition, Ila Pandey and Ishika Banawat of Jaipur Region fought till the superties, but in the end Delhi captain Ila Pandey suffered a close defeat by a margin of 7-6. Ila Pandey was runner -up in a single competition.
26 different region teams from across the country participated in the lawn tennis competition of Kendriya Vidyalaya National Sports Meet 2024-25 held at RK Khanna International Tennis Stadium in Delhi. In this competition, the players of Delhi region won the highest win and achieved the honor of being overall champion.
Captain Ila Pandey impressed a lot, who is a student of Gol Market Kendriya Vidyalaya in Delhi. Ila is a resident of Nidhiyavan, the gram sabha of Kaushambi. Ila Pandey, the captain of Delhi, is a national level tennis player and is taking tennis training from tennis coach Kuldeep Sharma in Delhi.
Ila is India’s emerging tennis player, who took training from International Tennis Coach Sasa Nensel in Germany’s pyne last year for three months. In this tennis academy, Spain’s famous player JC Ferrero has also taken training.
