Posts and screenshots circulating on Facebook and WhatsApp are claiming that men in India are being paid lakhs of rupees for impregnating women who cannot have children. This strange and shocking claim has sparked debate among social media users. Some are calling it sick thinking while others are considering it to be the result of society’s helplessness and greed.
All India Pregnant Job Service scam was going on
A fake online network named “All India Pregnant Job Service” is being said to be the root cause of this issue going viral on social media. It was claimed that through pages and messages running under this name, men were lured with easy earnings, free sex, money and cheap loans. According to the claim, in the scam, if a man impregnates a woman who is not having a child, he was cheated by saying that he would be given an amount of up to Rs 10 lakh. Not only this, it was also said that even if the attempt was unsuccessful, half the amount would be received, this claim was also made to the people.
How did you commit fraud?
According to the report, when people showed interest in this offer, they were asked to deposit money in the name of registration fees, hotel booking, medical arrangements or service charges and were also asked to submit documents like Aadhar card, PAN card and selfies, after which the accused cut off contact and did not return their money to the victims.
Police busted
Nawada Cyber Police has arrested a local resident named Ranjan Kumar in this case and a minor has also been detained on suspicion of being associated with this criminal network. The police have also recovered several mobile phones, SIM cards and other fraud related materials from the possession of the accused. Investigation of the cases is going on and efforts are being made to find out how many people have become victims of this cyber fraud so far.

As soon as this matter went viral on social media, people started giving their reactions. One user wrote… This fraud was done not only of money, but also by taking advantage of people’s helplessness, desire to have children and the silence present in the society. Some users also said that many victims did not come forward due to fear of shame and disgrace, which further emboldened the thugs.
