The monsoon session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is going on. Meanwhile, there was an uproar inside the Vidhan Bhavan complex on Thursday (17 July). There was a clash between supporters of BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar and NCP-(SP) leader Jitendra Awhad. There was a scuffle and assault between the two sides.
It can be clearly seen in the video how the supporters of BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar and Sharad Pawar faction leader Jitendra Awhad clashed. Many leaders and supporters from both sides caught each other’s collar and scrambled.

The whole of Maharashtra knows who was the attacker- Awhad
Jitendra Awhad, the leader of the Sharad faction on the clash at Vidhan Bhavan, said, “If the MLAs are not safe inside the assembly, then why should the MLA remain? The whole Maharashtra knows who the attacker was. Despite this, we are asking for evidence repeatedly. The whole country saw who did the attack.”
Action will be taken against those found guilty- CM Fadnavis
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reacted sharply to the assault in Vidhan Bhavan. He said, “Such incidents in the assembly premises are unacceptable and bring embarrassment to our name. It comes under the jurisdiction of the Speaker and the Chairman of the Legislative Council. Both have taken serious cognizance of the incident today. They will take the harshest action against those found guilty. ”
Such incidents should not happen again- Nana Patole
Congress leader Nana Patole reacted to the clash between supporters of BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar and NCP (SP) leader Jitendra Awhad in the Vidhan Bhavan complex. He said, “There has always been a tradition of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and its pride is discussed all over the country. Our example is given, but the incident which has happened in the assembly premises today, it should be ensured that such incidents do not happen again. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Chairman of the Legislative Council, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should worry about this.
He also said, “I was the Speaker of the Assembly myself. I know that Mumbai is always threatened. At such a time, it is a very serious thing to come with MLA and ministers on a large scale and bring the security of the assembly into trouble. The Parliament of Delhi was also not safe, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji’s government was also attacked here. ”
He further said that I think it should not only take care of all the public representatives and ministers. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Chairman of the Legislative Council, the Chief Minister should stop the power and the infamy of Maharashtra.
