US officials told Middle East Eye that they had sought help from many countries, but Saudi Arabia was best suited for help. On July 3, Saudi Arabia officially turned on its first Thaad battery. This is the same system he bought himself. This battery was started when a ceasefire came into force between Israel and Iran.
