Angered by Canada’s anti-tariff advertisement, US President Donald Trump canceled all trade talks with Canada. He accused Canada of airing a fraudulent advertisement. In this advertisement, former US President Ronald Reagan was seen speaking against the tariff.
‘Canada is influencing the US Supreme Court’
The US President posted on Social Truth and said that Canada betrayed us and was caught. He said, “Canada fraudulently ran a massive advertisement claiming that Ronald Reagan did not like tariffs, when in fact he liked tariffs for the sake of our country and its national security. Canada is trying to illegally influence the US Supreme Court in one of the most important decisions in our country’s history.”
Canada’s fraud caught: Trump
Trump said, “Canada has been cheating on tariffs for a long time. It is charging taxes of up to 400 percent from our farmers. Now they and other countries can’t take advantage of America. Thank you to the Ronald Reagan Foundation for exposing this fraud.”
God bless America: Trump
Donald Trump also posted about the ongoing case in the US Supreme Court regarding tariffs. He wrote, “The United States is rich, powerful, and nationally secure again, thanks to tariffs. The most important case ever (tariffs) is in the US Supreme Court. God bless America.”
The US Supreme Court will begin hearing on the legality of Donald Trump’s tariffs on November 5. The important issue of this hearing is the tariff, but there will also be a hearing on Trump’s unlimited powers. Trump claims that he has imposed tariffs using emergency powers.
