Elements like mangiferin and polyphenols present in mango help in the prevention of cancer. Mango is also beneficial in diseases like anemia etc.

What are the side effects?

In Ayurveda, mango is considered hot in nature. If you have diabetes then you should eat mango with caution, otherwise blood sugar may increase. Apart from this, there is a fear of stomach upset by eating too much mango, because excess fiber can cause diarrhea. Some people may be allergic to eating mangoes and may suffer from itching or rashes on the skin. Mango contains a lot of calories, due to which there is a risk of weight gain. Apart from this, eating too many mangoes can also cause problem of sore throat or stomach pain.
