Gold-Silver Price Today: There is a rise in gold prices in India today. After the fall in the beginning of the week, now gold seems to be back on track. There has been a huge jump in the price of gold in the last two sessions. During this period, the price of 100 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by approximately Rs 39800 and the price of 22 carat gold of the same gram has increased by Rs 36500. This shows the re-increasing interest of people in gold.
This rise in gold prices is happening due to different signals regarding possible peace talks between America and Iran. On one hand, America has sent a peace proposal to Iran through Pakistan. On the other hand, Iran has denied any desire to join the talks. On top of that, it has placed the condition of its complete authority (sovereign control) over the Strait of Hormuz. This has again taken the tension to its peak. About 20 percent of the world’s crude oil passes through this route. In such a situation, any kind of control here is worrying for the global economy.
