Gold-Silver Price Today: A fall in gold prices was recorded on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Better than expected employment data in the US for the month of January reduced expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut. Due to this, gold prices fell across the world. Today the price of silver has also fallen.
Increasing employment figures mean that the labor market in America remains strong. That means the economy is also in the right direction. In such a situation, the chances of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates have also reduced considerably. When interest rates remain high, the appeal of gold reduces. On the other hand, India’s retail inflation increased to 2.7 percent in January. Now investors will be waiting for the US inflation data to come on Friday, February 13, which will decide the direction for gold and silver prices in the short-term.
