Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has recruited a total of 5346 posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in government schools of the capital. If you have been waiting for teacher recruitment for a long time, then this is a great opportunity for you. The application process for this recruitment has started from 9th October and candidates can apply till 7th November 2025. Applications will be accepted through online mode only. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the board dsssb.delhi.gov.in or dsssbonline.nic.in.
This time the board has announced the recruitment of teachers in many subjects including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi and Natural Science. Along with this, the posts of Drawing Teacher and Special Education Teacher have also been included. This recruitment is being considered a big step towards further improving the education system in government schools of Delhi.
Candidates applying for TGT posts must have graduation or postgraduation degree in the relevant subject with at least 50 percent marks. Along with this, B.Ed degree is also mandatory. For some subjects, four-year integrated B.El.Ed or four-year degree in teacher education will also be considered valid. For most of the subjects, it is also necessary for the candidate to pass CTET Paper-II. The maximum age of the candidate has been kept at 30 years, however, reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per the rules of the government.

Candidates will be selected in two phases. The first phase will be Computer Based Test (CBT), which will include sections like General Knowledge, Teaching Skills and Reasoning along with subject based questions. Successful candidates in this examination will be called for document verification. Candidates who successfully complete all the stages will be appointed as TGT teachers.
What will be the salary?
Talking about salary, the selected teachers under Level-7 will get a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 per month. Apart from this, they will also get DA, HRA and other government allowances. This means that this job is not only permanent but also assures respectable income and security.
