After the formation of the new government in Bihar, the pace of administrative decisions has increased rapidly. In this sequence, the newly appointed Health Minister of the state, Mangal Pandey, after assuming office on Tuesday, made several important announcements to strengthen the health services. He clarified that the recruitment process for more than 33 thousand long pending posts in the Health Department will be completed in the coming days.
Mangal Pandey said that the recruitment process for about 26 thousand posts in the department has reached the final stage. He said that these appointments will be completed soon, which will remove the huge shortage of personnel in hospitals. Along with this, the plan to appoint 7,600 additional posts under the National Health Mission (NHM) will also be implemented soon. According to the minister, this step will provide new strength to the health system of the state.
Three new medical colleges will soon start in the state – Mangal Pandey
Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the priority of the new government is to improve the quality and availability of health services. He said that it is the main responsibility of the government to provide quality treatment to rural and remote areas. In this direction, giving great relief to the youth of the state, he announced that next year three new medical colleges will start functioning in the state, Vaishali, Siwan and Bhojpur. With their commencement, medical education will get a boost and the number of doctors in the state will increase significantly.
Modern facilities will be available in hospitals – Minister
The minister also said that the government will now pay special attention to the comprehensive upgradation of health infrastructure. Work will be expedited on improving the condition of primary health centres, increasing the appointment of specialist doctors and providing modern facilities in hospitals. He said that plans are also being prepared to expand super specialty services, modernize hospitals and strengthen emergency services.
The efficiency of the health department will increase
According to the information, due to slow pace of recruitment processes in the last few years, a large number of candidates were waiting for appointments. Minister Pandey said that due to the decisions of the new government, there will be a big improvement in this situation and the working capacity of the health department will increase. He expressed confidence that in the coming months, concrete changes will be felt in the health services of the state and Bihar will move towards a new direction in the health sector.
