The Uttar Pradesh government said on Thursday that this year the purchase of coarse grains will start from October 1 and will continue till 31 December.
According to an official statement, registration and renewal of farmers is going on for the purchase of maize, millet and tide included in thick grains. It said that farmers can contact toll free number for any of their problems or also contact the District Food Marketing Officer, Regional Marketing Officer or Marketing Inspector.
Crop amount will come in bank account
The statement said that payment to farmers will be made directly to the bank account connected to their Aadhaar. To prevent middlemen and ensure transparency, coarse grains will be procured at purchasing centers through ‘e-pop’ (electronic point of purchase) equipment, just after biometric verification of farmers.

It said, “This time the minimum support price (MSP) has also increased. Rs 2400 per quintal for maize, Rs 2775 per quintal for millet, Rs 3699 per quintal for jowar (hybrid), Rs 3749 per quintal for jowar (Malwandi) has been fixed at Rs 3749 per quintal. ‘

Mecca will be purchased in Badaun, Bulandshahr, Hardoi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Agra, Firozabad, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Hathras, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Kannauj, Auraiya, Etawah, Bahraich, Gonda, Ballia, Jaunpur, Farrukhabad, Mirjapur, Sonbhadra, Deoria and Lalitpur districts.

According to the statement, the purchase of millet Badaun, Bulandshahr, Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, Mainpuri, Aligarh, Kasganj, Hathras, Etah, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Farrukhabad, Auraiya, Kannauj, Etawah, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot, Chitrakoot, Chitrakoot, Chitrakoot, Chitrakoot Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Mirjapur, Ballia, Hardoi and Unnao districts will be done.
