On Tuesday night (October 21), 12 coaches of a goods train derailed near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, disrupting traffic on the Delhi-Mumbai rail route. Giving this information, the officials said that the derailed coaches were loaded with goods. Officials said that there were no casualties in the incident which took place at 8:24 pm between Vrindavan Road station and Ajhai station under the Mathura-Palwal section of Agra Railway Division.
An official said, “According to preliminary information, 12 coaches of the goods train have derailed, due to which the down main line, up main line and the third line have been disrupted. There is no report of any injury to any member of the train crew. These disruptions will have a serious impact on the movement of various trains on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kota routes, he said.
Rail traffic affected due to derailment of goods train
According to Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the following railway services will be affected due to the diversion of goods train between Vrindavan Road-Ajhai of Mathura-Palwal railway section on Agra division of North Central Railway.
Diverted train services (from originating station)
1. Train number 12415, Indore – New Delhi train service, which is scheduled to depart from Indore on 21.10.25, will operate via the changed route via Sawai Madhopur-Jaipur-Rewari-New Delhi.
2. Train number 12475, Hapa – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra train service which is scheduled to depart from Hapa on 21.10.25 will operate via the changed route via Sawai Madhopur-Jaipur-Rewari-New Delhi.
3. Train number 12486, Sri Ganganagar – Nanded train service, which departs from Sri Ganga Nagar on 21.10.25, will operate via the changed route via New Delhi-Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
4. Train number 12472, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra- Bandra Terminus train service, which is scheduled to depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on 21.10.25, will operate via the diverted route via New Delhi-Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
5. Train number 20156, New Delhi – Dr. Ambedkar Nagar train service which is scheduled to depart from New Delhi on 21.10.25 will operate via the diverted route via Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
6. Train number 12172, Haridwar – Mumbai (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) train service which is scheduled to depart from Haridwar on 21.10.25 will operate via the diverted route via Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
7. Train number 22408, Hazrat Nizamuddin- Ambikapur train service, which is scheduled to depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin on 21.10.25, will operate via the changed route via New Delhi-Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
8. Train number 12416, New Delhi – Indore train service, which is scheduled to depart from New Delhi on 21.10.25, will operate via the changed route via Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.

1. Train number 12909, Bandra Terminus – Hazrat Nizamuddin train service, which is scheduled to depart from Bandra Terminus on 21.10.25, will operate on the changed route via Ratlam-Chanderia-Ajmer-Phulera-Ringas-Rewari-Delhi.
2. Train number 12903, Bandra Terminus – Amritsar train service which is scheduled to depart from Bandra Terminus on 21.10.25 will operate via the changed route via Ratlam-Chanderia-Ajmer-Phulera-Ringas-Rewari-Delhi.
3. Train number 12449, Madgaon – Chandigarh railway service, which is scheduled to depart from Madgaon on 21.10.25, will operate via the changed route via Ratlam-Chanderia-Ajmer-Phulera-Ringas-Rewari-Delhi.
4. Train number 12904, Amritsar – Bandra Terminus train service, which is scheduled to depart from Amritsar on 21.10.25, will operate via the diverted route via Ghaziabad-New Delhi-Rewari-Alwar-Mathura.
5. Train number 12432, Hazrat Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central train service which will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin on 22.10.25 will operate via the changed route via Rewari-Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur.
