Senior Uttarakhand leader and former minister Harak Singh Rawat has once again made serious allegations against Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Rawat has claimed that Amit Shah proposed three assembly seats before joining Congress from BJP in 2022. This claim has come at a time when Rawat has been constantly making various allegations against BJP leaders.
In fact, Harak Singh Rawat said in a conversation with the media, “Amit Shah contacted me before he was out of BJP in 2022 and proposed three assembly seats. He said that if I stayed in BJP, I would be given tickets on these seats. But with this, it was said that if I did not agree on these conditions, I and my family would have to face serious consequences.” According to Rawat, he turned down these proposals and finally left the BJP and joined the Congress.
2022 Meet BJP to join Congress
Harak Singh Rawat joined the Congress after being expelled from BJP in 2022. At that time, his daughter-in-law was also given ticket by the Congress, but he lost the election. Rawat said that I raised my voice on many issues while in BJP, but the party did not listen to me. Amit Shah’s proposal was unbearable for me, so I chose the path of Congress.
Even before BJP, a statement against BJP
Harak Singh Rawat has also made various allegations against BJP leaders before this. He had claimed that the BJP incorrectly used the money received in Uttarakhand and made fixed deposits (FD) for the party. Rawat said that if ED does a fair investigation, then many BJP leaders will be found guilty.
BJP’s response
BJP leaders have rejected the allegations of Harak Singh Rawat. A senior party leader said that Harak Singh Rawat is constantly making baseless allegations against BJP. If they have any evidence, they should present it in court. Nothing will happen in media rhetoric.
