Action will be taken in this way
An official said that complaints of fraud of more than 10 lakhs registered on NCRP and 1930 will now be converted into zero FIR on their own. This FIR will be lodged at the e-crime police station in Delhi and then sent to the cyber police station of the respective area.
The complainant will have to go to the concerned cyber police station within three days and change the zero FIR in regular FIR. In this entire process, the I-FIR system of the I4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center), Delhi Police and the NCRB’s crime and criminal tracking network have been added.
This initiative has been initiated under sections 173 (1) and 1 (ii) of the Indian Civil Protection Code. The Delhi Police and I4C together have created this new system so that the victim can get his money back quickly and the culprits get strict punishment.
