India vs Pakistan is a fierce battle over the Asia Cup match. This match is to be played on 14 September, but it has become a political issue in ‘Mahamukabala’ India. The demand for India vs Pakistan cancel is continuously intensifying. Amidst all these speculation, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has given clarification. He has greeted Team India for tomorrow’s match.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia sent wishes to Team India for tomorrow’s match as a secretary in a conversation with Aaj Tak. At the same time, he also hoped that the Indian team will take place with full enthusiasm.
Why the match is to play
Devjit Saikia said, “I am confident that Indian players will come down with full force to win. Doing this will be a befitting reply to the events that we do not want to remember. India is playing with a country with whom our relationships are not good, but playing in multi-hold tournaments is a policy of the Government of India. That is why we cannot deny these matches.”
A few weeks ago, the Government of India implemented a new policy after playing with Pakistan. By mentioning the same, former Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has also said that it becomes mandatory to play Team India in multilateral tournaments like Asia Cup or World Cup. By doing this, India would have to withdraw the name from the tournament. But Thakur also made it clear that India will not play any bilateral series with Pakistan.
India-Pakistan has won one match each
Both India and Pakistan have won their first match in the Asia Cup 2025. India defeated UAE by 9 wickets. In that match, Team India had achieved the target of 58 runs in just 27 balls. On the other hand, Pakistan is trampling Oman by 93 runs. In the T20 Asia Cup history, India and Pakistan have come face to face 3 times, in which Team India has won twice and Pakistan only once.
