How can I apply?
The government has made the application process completely digital and simple in this scheme. Smartphone users can download the Suvidha app from Google Play Store. After this, you will have to select Kutir Jyoti Rooftop Solar Panel consent option in the app. Then you will have to complete OTP verification by entering the consumer number. After this BPL card, Aadhar card or other identity and address proof documents will have to be uploaded.
Along with this, photo and area details of the roof will also have to be filled in the application form. People who do not have a smartphone. They can avail free assistance by visiting the nearest convenience counter or Vasudha Centre. The department has made it clear that this entire process can be completed without any charge.
