DA Hike News: The Government of India has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for central employees and pensioners covered under the 5th and 6th Pay Commission. There is a wave of happiness among employees and pensioners due to this news. Let us tell you that last week the Central Government had announced to increase the DA of the employees covered under the Seventh Pay Commission. The information about this decision has been given by the Finance Ministry before Diwali and festive season.
How much will DA increase under the 5th and 6th Pay Commission?
According to the information given by the Finance Ministry, according to the 5th Pay Commission, dearness allowance of salaried employees has been increased to 474 percent. Earlier the DA of the employees was 466 percent. That means the benefit of 8 percent DA has been given by the Central Government. The new DA rate will be applicable from July 1, 2025. The tenure of the 5th Pay Commission had ended in December 2005 itself.
For the next 10 years, salaries were given as per the 6th Pay Commission. Whose term was also completed in 2015. Under the 6th Pay Commission, the existing DA of basic pay has been increased from 252 percent to 257 percent. That means there has been a total increase of 5 percent in DA of the employees. This change will also come into effect from July 1, 2025.
How much did the salary increase under the 7th Pay Commission?
Recently, DA was increased by 3 percent by the Central Government under the 7th Pay Commission. About 49.19 lakh central employees and 68.72 lakh pensioners have got the direct benefit of this. There is an atmosphere of happiness among the employees and pensioners due to the news of DA increase by the Central Government during Diwali and festive season. The Government of India increases DA twice every year and provides its benefits to its employees.
