Grape-3 was removed from Delhi NCR. After improvement in the air, the Air Quality Management Department has implemented this decision on Wednesday (26 November). For this reason, the restrictions of Grape-3 were lifted with immediate effect. This decision has been taken after improvement in air quality.
Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) i.e. GRAP-3 was implemented due to increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR. CAQM removed GRAP-3 in Delhi NCR. Along with this, the restrictions imposed under GRAP-1 and GRAP-2 will continue. Now after the decision of this relief, restrictions on many things will be removed.
There are restrictions on these things in Grape-3
- After implementation of GRP-3, BS-3 petrol and BS 4 diesel vehicles are banned.
- No vehicle is used during this period.
- Along with this, there is a complete ban on building construction.
- Builder projects, road construction and other construction projects are also completely banned.
- As soon as the rules of Grape 3 are implemented, construction work is stopped at all places except the most essential projects like airport, hospital, elevated road and STP plant projects.
- Roads are cleaned every day, water sprinkling is done regularly. At the same time, the dust and debris emanating from construction and demolition is properly disposed of.
This is how the steps of grapp are implemented
The first phase of GRAP is applicable at any place when AQI remains between 201 to 300. After this, the second phase is applicable when AQI remains between 301 to 400. The third stage is implemented when AQI is 401 to 450.
When the AQI exceeds 450, the fourth phase of GRAP is implemented. After the implementation of Grap-4, the restrictions are the highest and most stringent. Let us tell you that after the implementation of Grap-4, trucks, loaders and other heavy vehicles are not allowed to enter Delhi in the capital.
However, vehicles supplying essential commodities are allowed entry. During this period, all types of construction and demolition works are banned. State governments also decide on online classes for school students and work from home for government and private offices.
