This recruitment is only for male candidates, hence enthusiasm is being seen among the youth who want to work in the technical field across the state. According to the released notification, out of total 90 posts, 53 posts have been kept for Mechanical Department and 37 posts have been kept for Electrical Department.

In mechanical trade, 14 posts have been fixed for general category, 9 for SC, 11 for ST, 14 for OBC and 5 for EWS. Whereas in Electrical Trade, General Category has got 10 posts, SC has got 6, ST has got 7, OBC has got 10 and EWS have got 4 posts. Combining both the trades, there are 24 posts for General Category, 15 for SC, 18 for ST, 24 for OBC and 9 for EWS, making the total number 90.

Talking about qualification, for these posts it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 10th from a recognized board. Along with this, it is mandatory to have regular ITI (NCVT/SCVT) certificate in trades like Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Wireman. There is also a requirement of minimum marks in ITI in which general category and MP OBC require 65% marks, whereas for MPPGCL employees this limit is 60%. The minimum marks for SC, ST, EWS and PWBD candidates has been fixed at 55%.

Talking about the application fee, the fee has been kept at Rs 1200 for general category and Rs 600 for MP resident SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), EWS and PWD categories. This fee can be deposited only through online mode.

If we look at the pattern of the exam, a total of 100 questions will be asked in the Computer Based Test (CBT) out of which 75 questions will be from the respective trade i.e. Mechanical or Electrical and 25 questions will be from General Knowledge and General Aptitude. The entire examination will be of 100 marks and it is a matter of relief for the candidates that there is no negative marking in it. The examination will be in both Hindi and English languages ​​so that it is easy for all the candidates to understand.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in CBT and selection will be decided on that basis. Talking about salary, selected candidates will get a salary ranging from Rs 25,300 to Rs 80,500 (Level-6).
