The US delegation led by Usha Vance will visit the American military base located in Greenland. The delegation will also include National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright. The visit is taking place two months after Donald Trump Junior’s visit to Greenland, which was described as a ‘private journey’. The visit of the US delegation will run from Thursday (March 27) to Saturday (March 29) from 2025.

Greenland’s outgoing Prime Minister Mute Agde called the US high-profile tour a step of provoking and clarified that he was not welcome in the country. He said that due to treaty obligations, the visit of the US military base cannot be stopped, but the interim government will not be found from the American delegation.
Prime Minister Agade said, ‘Till now we considered Americans as our colleagues and friends, we loved to work with, but that time has now passed.’

Before her visit, Usha Vance shared a video through the US consulate in Greenland. In this, he said that the purpose of his visit is to celebrate the long history of mutual respect and cooperation between our countries.
Amid the growing criticism in Greenland, the White House clarified that the journey is to learn about Greenland, its culture, history and people and participate in the dogslade race, which is proud of the United States of sponsoring. White House spokesman Brian Hughes said, “The goal of this journey is to strengthen a partnership that respects the self -determination of Greenland and promotes economic cooperation.”
