Ground zero review: Since what happened in Pahalgam, the country is angry, everyone wants that the terrorists who killed tourists in Pahalgam should be caught as soon as possible and punish them. In such a situation, a film in which the story of killing a dreaded terrorist like Ghazi Baba should awaken a tremendous emotion, but this film fails to do so. This just tells the story, the story we have read. This film does not make emotion feel. You do not feel here with any film like Uri, Haider, Kashmir Files Mission Kashmir and it proves to be a very weak film made on all of them and also on Kashmir.
Story
This is the story of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey, who has killed Ghazi Baba, a dangerous terrorist. In this mission, one of the best missions of BSF was considered but this story was presented just like this line. The emotion and drama required for a film were not added to it.
How is the film
These days, seeing the anger about Pahalgam of Kashmir, it was felt that people can come to see this film. But there were only 2 people in the theater, the story of this film was its life but the good story was ruined by a bad screenplay and writing. The film initially shows some more things related to Kashmir which we have seen many times. Nowadays, in the era of web series, all this is shown in details. The dreaded terrorist like Ghazi Baba does not even go properly. This film fails completely in showing her fear. Neither a strong actor was taken in the role of Ghazi Baba, and when the villain is weak, the film is sure to be weak. There are no emotion feel in the film. There is no such scene when you clap or stand up to you. This film is just running, today the country is angry, it is being said to punish the terrorists of Pahalgam. In such a situation, there should be more emotion on Kashmir, but there is nothing like this here. The mission on which this film has been made was given in the last few minutes. It felt as if the director was in a hurry, or they like the earlier scenes. The build up of the story is so long and the mission so short and that too does not leave much effect. Kashmir is an emotion and this film does not make you emotional at all, nor does it entertain, nor does it feel anything.
Acting
Emraan Hashmi has done a good job, he has tried his best to fit in this role. This is the opposite from his image, but this should also be done by the actor to do something separate from his image. But weak story and screen plays give water to Imran’s hard work. Sai Tamhankar could not do anything special in the role of Imran’s wife. They were not given any special scenes in which they could show anything. There is a scene when she says something in front of the media, she does nothing except that. Zoya Hussain’s character was not coined properly. Mukesh Tiwari was also put in the role of BSF officer that a good actor was needed.
Direction and writing
The film has been written by Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshi Srivastava and directed by Tejas Prabha. All three did not understand this film properly. They put everything that we have seen many times. The mission that was concerned should have shown better. Jumps are seen in the screenplay, the story reaches somewhere and disconnects from the film.
Music
There is nothing to feel in the music of the film that remembers or who makes you feel something, John Stewart Eduri’s music flat.
Overall, this film disappoints, if you want, wait for OTT to come.
