In Gujarat, the Congress has made a big change in the organization and has once again entrusted the responsibility of the state president to Amit Chavda. On Tuesday (July 22), he announced that the party would exclude BJP from power in the 2027 assembly elections.
During the press conference in Ahmedabad, Chavda said that the party will run a public relations campaign among the public and highlight their problems. He termed the BJP rule as anti -people and corrupt and said that this rule has become more oppressive than the British Raj.
Congress party raised important issues
Amit Chavda said that the people in the BJP government are struggling with problems like corruption, illegal mining, poor roads, expensive education and contractual practice. He raised the problems of the youth and said that they are not getting permanentness due to fix pay system and contract recruitment.
The Congress has resolved to give permanent government jobs to the youth by abolishing the contract system. He also alleged that the government is only busy campaigning, while women, farmers and youth are upset.
Tushar Chaudhary became the leader of Congress Legislature Party in Assembly
Amit Chavda has been the Gujarat Congress President earlier from 2018 to 2021. According to PTI, this time he was again appointed on 17 July after the sudden resignation of Shakti Singh Gohil. At the same time, senior MLA and former Union Minister Tushar Chaudhary has been made the leader of the Congress Legislature Party in place of Chavda. The Congress is now strengthening the organization and preparing to the booth level so that BJP can be defeated in 2027.
Important role as OBC leader
Amit Chavda is a 5 -time MLA from Anandlav seat in Anand district and is considered to be the main OBC face of Congress in the state. When the Congress won only 16 seats in the 2022 assembly elections, Chavda was one of them.
