Songs like ‘Murder’, ‘Ajul’, ‘Sirra’, ‘Lahore’ and ‘High Rated Gabru’ are nowadays in the playlist of generation ‘Ji’. These songs have been voiced by famous Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa, who has achieved a special place in the world of Punjabi and Bollywood music with his magical voice and unique style. Guru Randhawa’s real name is Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa and he was born on 30 August 1991 in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. It is said that the Guru had an inclination towards music since childhood and when he used to study in school, he used to participate in the singing competition there.

Guru Randhawa did not allow the success from ‘Patola’ to dominate himself and sang famous songs like ‘Lahore’, ‘High Rated Gabru’, ‘Suit’, ‘Ban Ja Rani’, ‘Made in India’, ‘Ishare Tere’, ‘Tere Te’, ‘Sloli Sloli’ and ‘Daru Wargi’. His song ‘Lahore’ has received more than 1.1 billion on YouTube and ‘High Rated Gabru’ has received more than 1.2 billion views. There are many songs of Guru, which more than 500 million views have been found on YouTube and even today they play fiercely at weddings and parties.


The Guru, who tasted success through Punjabi songs, made her Bollywood debut with the song ‘Suit Suit Karda’ from the 2017 film ‘Hindi Medium’. After this, he also sang songs in films like ‘Tumhari Sulu’, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, ‘Nawabzade’ and ‘Blackmail’.

Recently, the controversy over his song ‘Ajul’ has been hot. His song has been accused of tarnishing the image of school girls. In the midst of this controversy, this song is on the tongue of the youth and this song has got more than 40 million views on YouTube.
