Cats warrior: India is going to become a game changer in drone warfare. Because Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has prepared a very special CATS-Warrier drone. The Department of Defense Production of the Ministry of Defense itself has shared information about this stealth ‘Wingman’ of the country.
In February this year, HAL displayed the model of CATS Warrior at the Aero-India exhibition held in Bengaluru. This is not such a drone, but such a combat is UAV (Unmanded Ariel Vehicle) that has been designed to fly with fighter jets like LCA-Tejas.

The control of this cats (CATS i.e. Combat Air Teaming System) Warrior will also be in the hands of fighter jet. According to the information, during the war, this combat will fly ahead of UAV, fighter jet and will continue to give complete information about the battlefield (air-space) to the pilot. Because this combat is UAV, it can enter the enemy’s limits and attack with a missile or bomb. If needed, it can also destroy itself against high risk target. Because fighter aircraft blowing by the pilot cannot do this.
The aim of the CATS Warrior is that the fighter pilot does not suffer any harm while entering the enemy’s air-space. Also, the pilot can be informed about the status of battalfield in advance. Because CATS Warrior can give information about Battlefield by flying in front of fighter jet (LCA).
Cats Warrior will prove to be a game changer
In view of the firepower of CATS Warrior, the Ministry of Defense has termed it as a game-changer of unmanded combat (drone warfare). Recently, during Operation Sindoor, Rafale and Sukhoi fighter Jet of the Indian Air Force had fired long distance stands of missiles and bombs from their own border instead of not entering the Pakistani border. Because there is a danger of air defense system in the enemy’s limits.
During the Balakot air strike in the year 2019, the Indian Air Force Mirage-20000 fighter jet terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed came by an air attack on the training camp. During that time, Mirage fighter aircraft had to enter Pakistan’s air-space. In such a mission, there is always a threat from the enemy’s air defense system. Also, there is a danger of casualties of fighter pilots. As the Wing Commander Abhinandan was done during the dog fight with Pakistani fighter jet.
Loyal Wingman also got a name
Cats Warrior is a combat drone and can be equipped with missiles and bombs. In such a situation, this enemy can also attack the border of the country. In the cats warrior, two air-to-air missiles and two winds can also be integrated into the ground (smart anti-aerfield weapon). For these features, Cats Wingman has also been named ‘Loyal Wingman’. Because it can also carry out deep-stroke mission in the boundary of the enemy on the orders of ‘Mothership-Air Craft’.
According to HAL, the weight of the cats warrior is about two tonnes and it can fly a height of 9000 meters. Also, it is capable of doing any big action in 300 km radius.
