Half the seats still vacant in Bihar government engineering colleges, who can apply

There are a total of 13,675 seats in 38 government engineering colleges in Bihar, but more than half of the seats remained vacant even after nomination of two rounds based on JEE Main. According to the data, only 6,432 seats were enrolled on JEE Main score, while 7,243 seats are still vacant.

BCECEB i.e. Bihar Joint Entry Competition Examination Board had already made it clear that the first two rounds of enrollment in engineering colleges will be on the basis of JEE Main score.

But when two rounds were completed and half the seats were still vacant, the board decided to conduct its own entrance examination.

The BCECE examination has been conducted recently and now nomination will be done on the remaining seats on the basis of its merit list. This step became necessary because the capacity of colleges was not being used properly due to the large number of seats remaining vacant.

The nomination process will be in two stages based on the BCECE score. The first round will run from 14 August to 16 August. During this time, students who get a place in Medhasuchi will be able to enroll.

Whereas if the seats are left after the second round after the first round, then the allotment result of the second round will be released on August 22. After this, the enrollment will be on August 24 and 25.
