Israel Killed Muhammad Sinwar: Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has confirmed the killing of Hamas Chief Mohammad Sinwar. Hamas Chief South Gaza was hidden in a tunnel below a hospital in the strip. On 13 May, Sinwar was killed in IDF air strikes. Three days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed to have killed Sinwar.
According to the IDF, this attack was done on the basis of accurate intelligence information, in which it was confirmed that no hostage is present at that place. After this, more than 50 missiles were fired in 30 seconds, which destroyed Hamas’s command and control center.
Mohammad Sinwar, Muhammad Shabana (Rafa Brigade Commander), and Mahdi Quara (Dakshin Khan Younis Battalion Head) were killed in the attack. Israel claimed that the structure of the hospital has not been damaged in the attack.

Strategic plan and caution of attack
This attack did not happen suddenly. According to the Wall Street Journal report, a meeting of senior Hamas leaders was reported to be held, the aim was to discuss the release of the ceasefire and the hostages. As soon as the IDF received information that there is no hostage at that place, the attack got the green signal. The Israeli army said that before this attack, they had taken extensive intelligence measures so that the citizens suffer the least loss.
Hamas’s emerging face was Mohammad Sinwar
Muhammad Sinwar was the younger brother of former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. He was identified as a hardcore and strategic military commander. He played a major role in the plan of attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 and he was working as Operations Chief at that time.
Sinwar escaped from jail
Mohammad Sinwar was placed in captivity by Israel for nine months in the 1990s. After this, he spent three years in the jail of Palestinian Authority, from where he escaped in 2000. In 2006, IDF was involved in the abduction of military Giled Shalit. He led Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade and Military Campaign Department.
