Hardik Pandya T20 Wickets: Hardik Pandya has made a world record in the second T20 match against South Africa. He has become the first fast bowling all-rounder in the world to complete 1000 runs and 100 wickets in international T20 cricket. He has achieved this historic feat by taking the wicket of Tristan Stubbs. Along with this, he has also created a special record of wickets in T20 cricket.
Before the third T20 match played in Dharamshala, Hardik Pandya had taken 99 wickets in his T20 career. By dismissing Tristan Stubbs, he has completed a century of wickets in T20 format. He is only the third Indian bowler to do so, before him Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah have completed 100 wickets for India in T20 International.
1000 runs and 100 wickets
Hardik Pandya is the first fast bowling all-rounder in the world who has completed 1000 runs and 100 wickets in international T20 cricket. Before him, no fast bowling all-rounder in the world has been able to establish this record. Although 3 spin bowlers have done this. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe have completed 1000 runs apart from taking 100 wickets in international T20 cricket.
Third Indian to take 100 wickets
Hardik Pandya has become the third Indian cricketer to take 100 wickets in T20 International cricket. Apart from scoring 1939 runs so far in his T20 career, he has also taken 100 wickets in bowling. Till now, the highest number of T20 wickets is in the name of Arshdeep Singh, who has taken 108 wickets so far. Whereas Jasprit Bumrah currently has 101 T20 wickets in his name.
