India defeated Oman by 21 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 last Friday. Oman’s team was moving towards a historic victory, but Hardik Pandya, while catching an incredible catch in the death overs, served the match in India’s bag. For this, he has got a ‘Impact Player’ medal. With this victory, Team India won all three matches in Group A and finished the top.

Chasing the target of 189 runs, Aamir Kalim of Oman had rooted Pachasa, after which he started putting shots in a blush manner. Team India was beginning to face the danger of a big upset, but then Harshit Rana came to bowl in the 18th over. There were 8 runs off the first 3 balls, on the fourth ball, Aamir Kalim put an aerial shot, but Hardik Pandya caught a wonderful catch while running on the boundary.
After this catch of Hardik, Oman’s batsmen came under pressure and the whole team went apart. After Aamir’s dismissal, Hammad Mirza could not do anything, who was dismissed for 51 runs. BCCI has released a video, in which Hardik was given a medal for the match to overturn the match.

After taking the award, Hardik Pandya said, “I think we showed by performing as a unit. We were examined, there was summer, but everyone played his role well. Now there is another match on 21st, best wishes to everyone.”
India’s first match in Super-4 is going to be held by Pakistan tomorrow. This match will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Let us tell you that earlier in the group match, Team India had crushed Pakistan by 7 wickets.
