Mumbai Indians had a target of 193 runs. By the score of 37, both MI openers were out. Harmanpreet Kaur came to bat in the fifth over and along with Amanjot Kaur added 72 runs. After this partnership, Mumbai’s path to victory seemed easy. Amanjot Kaur scored 40 runs in 26 balls.
Nicola Carey supported Harmanpreet after Amanjot Kaur was out. There was an unbeaten 84-run partnership between Harmanpreet and Nicola, together they ensured Mumbai’s victory. Captain Harmanpreet scored 71 runs in 43 balls. In this innings, 7 fours and 2 sixes came from his bat.
Mumbai still behind RCB
After two wins in 3 matches, Mumbai Indians have 4 points, but MI is still at second place in the points table. At number one is Royal Challengers Bangalore, whose net run rate is much better than the Mumbai team. This was the first defeat for the Gujarat team, which has slipped to third place in the points table after 2 wins in 3 matches.
