Donald Trump-Harvard University Row: The dispute between Donald Trump administration and Harvard University in the US is deepening. The Trump administration had banned the admission of foreign students in Harvard. After this, the university filed a case against him. Harvard filed a lawsuit for the second time on Friday (May 23, 2025).
According to the New York Times report, Dr. Allen M. Garber, President of Harvard, has written a letter in this regard, stating, “We condemn this illegal and unfair action. It endangers the future of thousands of students and scholars of Harvard and warns for those who are studying in colleges and universities across the country.
Harvard accused Trump Administration of retaliation
The university indicated that it would also file a request for a temporary preventive order in which a judge would be asked to stop the administration’s action immediately. This was the second time in a few weeks when the university sued the Trump government. In the new case, Harvward has clearly accused the Trump administration of vengeance.
‘Not Harvard without foreign students’
The trial said, “The government has tried to erase a quarter of the students of Harvard with a shock of a pen, who are international students and who contribute significantly to the university and its mission. Harvard is not Harvard Harvard without its international students.”
What did the Trump administration say?
The administration said that Harvard did not comply with the list of demands sent on 16 April, which included records of protest activities five years ago. The Trump administration has described its action on the universities of Harvard and other tops as an attempt to deal with the anti -Jewish spirit and to face generous bias in the campus.
