Haryana: Haryana government gives a big gift to women, ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’ will get Rs 2,100

The Haryana government has issued a notification of the big scheme ‘Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana’ providing financial assistance to women. This scheme will be effective from 25 September. Under this scheme, all eligible women aged 23 and above will be given a assistance of Rs 2,100 every month.

The government said that the main objective of this scheme is to strengthen women financially, give them financial freedom, ensure social security and promote their overall good and social participation. The scheme will give women an opportunity to play a more active role in the society along with making them self-reliant.

Before the Haryana Assembly elections held in October 2024, the BJP promised that if the party returns to power, women will be given a monthly assistance of Rs 2,100. After winning the election, this promise is now turning into reality.

What will be the eligibility important?

To take advantage of this scheme, the age of women should be 23 years or more. Also, his family should not be more than an annual income of Rs 1 lakh.

To get benefits, it is mandatory for a woman to reside in Haryana for 15 years. If the woman has come to Haryana from another state, then her husband also needs to be a resident of the state.

No matter how many women in the family taking advantage of the scheme, everyone will get benefit. For this, every woman should have their own active bank account.

application procedure

The application for this scheme will be made through the Digital Platform, ie ‘Lado Laxmi App’ prepared by Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (Hartron). This app will do the entire work from the application to the distribution of profit, complaint redressal and monitoring of the scheme.

During the application, the woman will have to give information like the base details, residence certificate, income certificate, electricity connection details, vehicle ownership, bank details of themselves and her family members.

Verification and profit distribution

The information will be examined by the Crid (Citizen Resource Information Department) within 15 days of submission of the application. After that the list of eligible and unqualified women will be prepared and sent to the concerned departments.

Under the scheme, Rs 2,100 per month benefits will be sent to PFMS (Public Finance Management System) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The beneficiaries will have to undergo face verification and liveness detection through the app every month, so that help continues to get regularly.

Through the Lado Laxmi app, women will get an opportunity to register their complaints directly. Complaints will be settled within seven days. Along with this, the District Social Welfare Officer will be the first contact point, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners will be the first and final appellate authority respectively.

A governing body will be formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister for the operation of the scheme, who will hold a meeting once every quarter. In this, the Minister of Service and Chief Secretary will also be members. The governing body will evaluate the necessary amendments or new steps for effective implementation of the scheme.

Apart from this, the executive body of the scheme will be chaired by the Chief Secretary. The management, monitoring and reform of the scheme will be ensured by the Chief Secretary and the Department of Services.

Who will be involved in the first phase?

The first phase will include women from families less than Rs 1 lakh. There is a plan to expand the plan to more income categories in future, so that more women can get the benefit.

This monthly amount of Rs 2,100 will prove to be great help for small families and financially weak women. With this, women will be able to get financial support in household expenses, children’s education and other important things.
