He posted on his Instagram and wrote, “There are some articles in which it is being said that I have left films, let me clear that this is absolutely not true.” In the caption of his post, Sooraj also criticized those spreading negative things about him and used the hashtag ‘Haters will hate.’ It is noteworthy that the actor has also closed the comment section of his post.
Controversial history of Sooraj Pancholi
There was a big storm in Sooraj Pancholi’s life when in June 2013, the actress and his ex-girlfriend Jiah Khan were found hanging in their house by her mother Rabia Khan. Khan had also reportedly written a six-page letter giving details of her relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. After Jiah’s death, her mother accused Sooraj and his family of ‘misbehaving’ with Jiah. After this, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against him, Suraj was also arrested, but was later released on bail.
After Sooraj’s bail, Jiah’s mother approached the Bombay High Court and demanded that the investigation be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The central investigating agency filed a chargesheet in December 2015 in which they accused Pancholi of abetment of suicide under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. However, Suraj was acquitted in this case in 2023.
Sooraj Pancholi’s comeback in acting
After being acquitted in Jiah Khan death case, Sooraj Pancholi made a comeback in acting. He was seen in Kesari Veer, which was released in theaters in May this year. This film is the story of the unsung warriors who fought bravely to save the Somnath temple from the attacking forces. Apart from Sooraj Pancholi, Sunil Shetty was also seen in the role of fearless Vegada ji in this film.
