He said, ‘India is built on respect and unity. Not on fear and abuse. We are a country of love and diversity. We must not become a dead society that turns a blind eye when fellow Indian citizens are targeted. We should introspect and understand where we are allowing our country to go.

CM Dhami talked to the father of the deceased
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also spoke to the father of student Angel Chakma on phone regarding his death. During this, he expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Also assured action and all possible help from the state government. He said, it was a tragic incident. Everyone is very saddened by this incident. We will take strict action in this matter. The people who committed this crime have been arrested.
Chakma lost his life in racist attack
Let us tell you that Angel Chakma, a 24 year old MBA student from Tripura, was racially attacked in the canteen. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital for 17 days and finally he died.
