A video of HDFC Bank of Kanpur is going viral on social media. In the video, bank employee Aastha Singh is seen saying angrily, ‘I am Thakur’. Now the other side of the viral video has also come to light. The other side is of Ritu Tripathi. While talking to ABP News, Ritu Tripathi and her husband told that they were upset with the attitude of the bank.
While talking to ABP News, he told that the behavior of the bank manager and the cluster head was also not good, that is why he had resigned. Ritu claimed that whatever happened that day, Aastha had misbehaved first. Ritu’s husband cried and asked, ‘Is it a sin to be a Brahmin? Yes, I am a Brahmin.” Ritu said, “If he is a Thakur then I am a Brahmin.”

After the video went viral, Aastha Singh said, “This case is not the way it was shown. This case is not related to any customer. This is the case of the husband of a female employee working with us.”
He further said, “The husband of the female employee had misbehaved with me. He had used wrong language. After that, I took whatever action I felt was right. If someone is asking me about my caste, which caste I belong to, is there more pride and arrogance, then I felt it was appropriate to give the proof of my caste and I did.”

I will file a defamation case- Aastha Singh
Further, Aastha said, “I am a Thakur. I am proud of it. This is being forcefully made into an issue of casteism. The person with whom we had a dispute is a Brahmin and we fully respect Brahmins. I will take legal action because my image has been tarnished on social media. I want to file a defamation case against them.”
