In 2002, Aditi Govitrikar entered the industry with the film Soch. After this, she was seen in films like 16 December, Paheli, De Dana Dan. Apart from this, she has also been a part of shows like Bigg Boss 3 and Khatron Ke Khiladi. In 2001, Aditi also won the title of Mrs. World.

Aditi recently told in an interview that she is very heartbroken in the industry. Because in 2001 itself, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra, who became Miss World and Miss Universe, got more fame and opportunities. But nothing like this happened with Aditi.

Aditi mentioned those experiences which gave her lifelong trauma. The actress told that once a friend of her father had misbehaved with her. In an interview given to Hotterfly, Aditi said, ‘To be honest, if you ask me in terms of safety, I actually had to face more disturbing incidents in Panvel. I had very bad experiences there and it took me a very long time to understand them.’

Father’s friend did dirty things

Aditi told that she was barely six or seven years old when her father’s friend had also molested her. Later, when she started going to Mumbai for her studies, her safety as a girl became a matter of concern. She says, ‘I used to come to Dadar for Aggarwal classes in 12th class. At that time, local trains were not an option for me, so I used to travel by bus. I have done all this. Public transport teaches you to live.

Aditi said that at a young age one has to find ways to survive in such an environment. She said, ‘I used to have very big bags on both sides. Inside, I used to keep hardboard books and hold them like a shield. This was my protection. If I got a seat, I would keep one bag on each side, so that no one could touch me.’

Aditi said, ‘In my case, a known person of the family was involved in an incident. I was young at that time. One day another incident that happened in the market shook me. I was so young that I could not fully understand what had happened. You just feel that you have been insulted. Wrong has happened. That feeling is horrible and it never gets better.
