Earlier Critical Illness cover was taken after 40, but now young people are also taking it. Under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act 1961, a rebate of Rs 25,000 was available under the Old Tax Regime, but this benefit is not available in the New Tax Regime, which increases the pressure on your Net Savings.
