Heavy losses due to excess rainfall in Uttarkashi, CM Dhami gave instructions to speed up rescue work

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami gave immediate talks with the District Magistrate to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing. Teams of district administration, SDRF and NDRF have left for the affected area.

Siren installed for emergency in Dehradun

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “The 13 sirens that have been installed in Dehradun city today. If there is any emergency, then all the people will be alert together. It will play a very big role in securing people’s lives and making them more alert.

Local people threatened due to landslide in Brahmasain region

At the same time, the frequent landslides in Brahmasain area near Gopeshwar headquarters of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand have posed a serious threat to local residents. Due to heavy rains, about one hundred and fifty meters long road has completely collapsed, due to which cracks have occurred in the surrounding residential houses. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people living in the affected area and many families are worried about their safety.

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that many areas have been affected due to continuous landslides in the district. To assess the damage caused by this natural disaster, the administration has prepared a detailed report and sent it to the government. He said, “We have given complete information about landslide affected areas to the government. An expert team constituted by the Government of India will soon reach Chamoli and inspect the affected areas and assess the damage.”

Assistance being delivered to the affected- DM

The District Magistrate said that the administration is monitoring the situation and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected people. Our priority is the safety of the people. Relief and rescue operations have been started in the affected areas. After the visit of the Government of India team, there will be an accurate assessment of the loss, on the basis of which rehabilitation and repair work will be started.

Some families left their homes

In Brahmasain, not only the traffic system has come to a standstill due to the collapse of the road, but the foundation of the surrounding houses has also become weak. Local residents say that landslides have increased due to rain, causing cracks in the walls of their houses. Some families have left their homes and started taking shelter in safe places.

Appeal to people to take precautions

At the same time, the administration has appealed to the people to take precautions in the affected areas and contact the local authorities in any emergency. After the visit and damage assessment of the Government of India team, relief work is expected to increase in the area.
