The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius on the morning of Tuesday, January 27. Along with this, the Meteorological Department had already predicted the possibility of light rain and strong winds along with thunder and lightning, which has proved to be correct. During this time, strong winds are blowing at the speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour.

Maximum temperature 19 degrees Celsius

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Safdarjung was eight degrees Celsius, which is 0.4 degrees less than the normal temperature of this season. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.2 degrees in Palam, 8.4 degrees in Lodhi Road, 8.7 degrees in Ridge and 8.2 degrees in Ayanagar.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius. Yellow alert for rain has also been issued for Delhi, through which people have been asked to be cautious. By afternoon there will be light rain once or twice with thunder and lightning.

However, whether the rain is light or heavy, it becomes a problem for the people going out in Delhi-NCR. Roads get filled to the brim and vehicles face difficulty in movement.

Despite rain, AQI has increased in Delhi

At the same time, after the air remained clean for a few days, the pollution increased again and the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 300, which falls in the ‘poor’ category. According to Sameer App data, air quality was in ‘very poor’ category at 23 centers in Delhi, ‘poor’ at 13 and ‘moderate’ at three centres.
