Monsoon rains continue in many parts of North India including Haryana. The effect of rain in Punjab and Delhi started a little late, but now that it is raining, it has been submerged from roads to markets and offices.

Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana has recorded 40 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, due to which many parts of the area have been flooded. Rain water has entered homes and shops, due to which the local people are facing a lot of trouble.

Rain orange alert issued for these districts

The situation in other districts of the state also remains worrying. Orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Karnal. At the same time, Yellow alert has been issued for other districts including Charkhi Dadri, in which warning of strong winds, thunder-shine and thunderstorms. Torrential rains in Gurugram have seen severe waterlogging in many areas.

There are reports of overflow of drains in many places due to rain. Traders are suffering due to water filling in the markets and customers are also facing problems in reaching shops. Work has also been affected due to water filling in government offices. Due to waterlogging on the main roads of the city, there was a situation of traffic jam.

Rain beneficial for farming

While the common people are facing problems on the one hand, this period of rain is being considered beneficial in terms of farming. Especially millet and cotton crops are benefiting from it.

In the district, there are 1.10 lakh acres of millet and cotton crop in about 30 thousand acres. The irrigation department has already installed pumps and motors to drain water from the fields, which is helping to deal with the situation of waterlogging. Despite this, the administration is on alert mode in view of the intensity of rain.
