During Vijay Sharma’s phone, Vivek Agnihotri told that the film has been banned in West Bengal. To this, the deputy CM said, “I have demanded through the media that it should be opened there. The story of the film ‘The Bengal Files’ is based on the Calcutta riots in 1946, which is known as ‘Direct Action Day’. This incident affected the lives of millions of people. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar and Simrat Kaur in important roles.
